ewww, flu.

I know how weird it is that I am going to post this... but it may help a poor soul out that needs it. Guys, I got hit with the flu like a TRUCK on wednesday evening. My pathetic self has been in the bed under a million covers ever since. Please please please please whatever you do, try to stay healthy with tons of water and vitamins. But, if you do get sick here are some of the things that I truly believe helped me get through this week.

I am sure you've been told, "TONS OF LIQUIDS"... well there                                                       is nothing quite like the electrolytes of gatorade, go pick up a bunch!

At the first signs of the flu you should start popping tylenol like its your job! Although, as soon as I was ready for it, congestion wise, I started taking Mucinex DM... it's like gold y'all!
As I said, a TON of liquids. They weren't kidding. But as we all know, having a cute water bottle helps when it comes to drinking a ton of water.

Last but absolutely not least, my pajamas. As childish as it may seem I did not change out of my pj's for four straight days. No joke! So find some seriously comfy ones because you aren't going to want to move any time soon.

So just in case you do get the awful dreaded flu this season... be prepared! Grab your best pj's and comfy socks and stock up on a ton of electrolytes. You'll make it.
Good Luck

Tu-Tu's or Tonka Trucks?

This weekend I had the absolute joy of attending my older sister's baby gender reveal party! I can't believe I am finally going to be an aunt! I had already made my guess that it was a boy and I was sticking to it. Here are a few pictures of the excitement... I saved the reveal till the end of course!
our guesses before the big reveal!

My note to my future niece or nephew!

He thinks it's a boy and she thinks it's another princess like her!

Cake pops and goodies time!

The future parents' guess before the reveal!

 IT'S A GIRL!

God decided that growing up with two sisters wasn't enough, and that we needed another girl.Yet this time around we get to spoil her rotten. I can't wait for all the tu-tu's and bows! Congrats to my sister and brother-in-law, y'all are gonna totally nail this gig.
Auntie loves you to the moon and back already lovebug!

a touch of pizzazz

I suppose it was time for some more random January snow touches to my house. Here are some of the cheesy ways we love to decorate in hopes of snow!

P.S. I also wanted to show you the pop of fun I found for my room the other day while shopping some sales at Michael's. This frame was marked down from 30 to 8 and then for some reason it rung up for 4! Can't beat that.

Do you decorate for the winter months?

Winter hibernation/football food

One of my favorite things to do on a super cold Saturday in the middle of the winter is cook! Especially for football season (GO RAVENS!) My normal go to is my older sister's famous chicken dip. It is the best thing on the planet... my roommates even call it "crack dip" when I make it for occasions.

Quick and simple y'all, Chicken (crack) dip: 2 blocks of cream cheese, a spoon full of mayo, a ton of garlic powder, a ton of onion powder, a handful of grated Parmesan cheese, and a can full of shredded chicken. Mix it all together and throw it in the oven on 350 for about 20 minutes or until the top starts to get golden.

Yesterday I was in the mood for some good soup and my baby sister had just found a recipe on pinterest that she made for the family over break and I just HAD to recreate it, it was so yummy!

Lasagna Soup!! Find the recipe here!

What are your favorite winter/football foods?

dear fellow coffee addicts

Dear fellow coffee addicts,
I am writing to tell you of this wonderful finding of auto-delivery. I am sure some of you are probably already very aware of this amazing service, but for those of you who dont... let me fill you in.

If you love your k-cups, but hate having to go get tiny boxes of them every week have I got a new saving grace for you! I have had my keurig for quite some time now and am abosolutely obsessed and wouldn't know what to do without it. This christmas I recieved the Keurig 2.0 and couldn't be more pleased. (yes, it is my new baby) I have always tried to buy the cheaper brand k-cups and re-fillable coffee ground filters, but the 2.0 reads the cups to make sure they are keurig brand before you can brew them. So I decided now was a better time than any to sign up for the Keurig Club online. I had heard from quite a few people that buying your k-cups from the online store saves you quite a bit of money in the long run. Well I was pleased with the amount of coupons I found and the ability to get sample packs of things I only want to try out.

Although, the best feature by far is the auto-delivery. You can set your order to come straight to your front door! Coffee delivery to me... MERRY CHRISTMAS! You can set it to delivery at different weekly intervals and it wont ship until the date you have set. This is a fantastic new "lazy-hack" finding, and I can't wait to fill you in on how it goes.

To sign up yourself go visit www. Keurig.com and follow the directions!
Enjoy

Books on Queue

Since I am teaching full time now and still working on my masters degree there has been zero time for pleasure reading in my life. Which is terribly sad because I love to read! I have quite a few books piling up on my bookshelf just waiting to be cracked. Here are just a few of the suggestions that have been made to me that I thought I would pass on to you.

If you like Harry Potter/Divergent/Twilight go ahead and pick this series up!
This is the book I am currently working on. I absolutely adore this series and can't believe I am half way through the last one. I am SO SAD!

Here are a few of the lonely books just watching me from my shelf, hoping they will get read soon.

I got this one for my nook so I can save a little room in my purse!

Do you have any other suggestions for me/what have you read lately?
xoxo
